I Swear I Thought You Said...

I think all the rock concerts I've been to over the years has damaged my hearing.

Howdy Horn Honkers. Over the years I’ve had my share of mis-hearing things, like song titles (the time I thought a DJ introduced the next tune as “Anal Sunshine When She’s Gone”) and song lyrics too, which I think we’ve all done.

It was the 1990s when I realized in the Eagles song “Take It Easy” that they weren’t singing “I’m looking for a lover who won’t blow my brother/she’s soo-oo hard to find.”

Yeah.

But I can probably blame that one on AM radio reception back in the day. Or perhaps at that tender age I’d already been to too many Aerosmith concerts. Who knows.

However, sometimes you just get it plain wrong in an otherwise normal conversation.

And even if you’ve been around the world a bit, as I have, you just might misunderstand a beautiful Vietnamese woman at a fitness retreat.
